Hall of Distinction - Application

REQUIREMENT FOR PERFORMANCE HALL OF DISTINCTION AWARDS

ASC encourages members to participate in the various performance events to show the versatility of the cocker spaniel.

The owner must be a member in good standing with the American Spaniel Club at the time the qualifying award is earned for all performance Hall of Distinction awards.

No application is required for these awards. All qualifying dogs will be recognized.

  1. Agility Dog Hall of Distinction (AHOD)
    A. Any cocker spaniel that earns the title Master Agility Champion (MACH) will be entered into the Agility Dog Hall of Distinction.
    B. Any cocker spaniel that earns the title Preferred Agility Excellent (PAX) will be entered into the Agility Dog Hall of Distinction.
  2. Field Dog Hall of Distinction (FHOD)
    A. Any cocker spaniel that earns a Master Hunter title will be entered in the Field Dog Hall of Distinction.
    B. Any cocker spaniel that earns any points towards a field championship will be entered into the Field Dog Hall of Distinction.
  3. Obedience Dog Hall of Distinction (OHOD)
    A. Any cocker spaniel that earns the title Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH) will be entered into the Obedience Dog Hall of Distinction.
    B. Any cocker spaniel that earns the title Utility Dog Excellent (UDX) will be entered into the Obedience Dog Hall of Distinction.
  4. Special Performance Hall of Distinction (SPHOD)
    This award will be for cocker spaniels that have shown significant or special accomplishment in one or more performance events. For dogs at or near the end of their performance careers.
    In order to receive this award, the dog must have a special achievement or accomplishment in performance/companion events (field, agility, obedience, tracking). This award is not meant to recognize versatile cocker spaniels but rather cocker spaniels with a special achievement or accomplishment. The dog must be nominated for this award with a written explanation of the special achievement.
    Nominations for this award will be reviewed for their merit by the Hall of Distinction performance committee.
  5. Tracking Dog Hall of Distinction (THOD)
    A. Any cocker spaniel that earns the title Tracking Dog Excellent (TDX)  or Variable Surface Tracking (VST) will be entered into the Tracking Dog Hall of Distinction.
    B. Any cocker spaniel that earns both a TDX and a VST, thus making them a Champion Tracking (CT) would be entered into the Tracking Dog Hall of Distinction.
